Digital Animator for Christmas Music Video

Lord Voldemort Needs A Videographer

I'm a stand-up comedian and character actor and on October 28th, 2023 I will be dressing up as Lord Voldemort for a large Harry Potter community event in Ogden Utah. I am seeking a skilled videographer with access to a decent camera and audio equipment to film me as I interact with patrons in line for the event. It will involved about 2-3 hours of continuous filming. I don't need any post production, as long as the video and audio are sync'd up. I will be outside from about 5:30 or 6pm until about 8 to 8:30pm. So you'll need a camera and lens that can adjust with sun setting, and a strong boom or shotgun mic to capture my interactions with patrons without background or wind noise, since we will be outside.

Coca-Cola Refreshing Films Program: Call for pitches

The Coca-Cola Refreshing Films program provides an opportunity for up-and-coming filmmakers to create content for the big screen. The program is designed to give student filmmakers a real-word experience working with a big brand and creating branded content. The goal of the program is that each student participant can use this experience to help further their careers in the film industry. Students have until October 10th, 2023 at 9:59pm MST to submit pitches and budgets for their branded ads according to the creative brief (download below). Four pitches from submissions from over 60 affiliated schools will be selected and given $20,000 to create their films. One winners will be selected and have their short film shown in theatres across the country. A fan favorite film will also be awarded.

We produce commercials, short documentary projects, inspirational messages, and other projects to promote BYU (see youtube.com/byu). This is a great hands-on opportunity to learn video production, to work with professional cinema cameras and editing facilities, and to build a production reel. What we would like to do is see if any of your students would be interested in helping us put together a project safety video orientation using the information that’s in our orientation power point. If they could help us make the orientation a little entertaining and still convey the necessary safety information. We can use some of our employees in the video if they want. Mock Trial Witnesses - Volunteers Needed

BYU Law's Trial Advocacy Team is hosting our annual mock trial competition. While law students serve as advocates, we rely on volunteers to act as witnesses. Anyone interested in law or looking for a fun acting opportunity is encouraged to volunteer. This competition will be held on the evenings of November 4th, 6th, and 8th, at the law school. In total, the commitment to serve as a witness need take no longer than a few hours. Any volunteers will be provided with a witness packet with all necessary information.

The Hiding Place

"The Hiding Place" is a stage adaptation of the true story of Corrie ten Boom, a Christian who hid jews during WW2 and survived a prison camp. It is a story of love, loss, fear, and faith. All things considered, it's a story that needs to be heard in this generation that struggles with all of these themes. If you want to help share this story, please come audition for the staged reading of A.S. Peterson's "The Hiding Place" on Thursday, June 6th & Friday, June 7th from 5:35pm-8pm in 1020 WCCB! If possible, come prepare with a time appropriate, 1 minute monologue (1910s-1960s), or use one of the sides provided. Hope to see you there!
