BYU IS HIRING STUDENT VIDEO EDITORS AND PRODUCTION TEAM MEMBERS

BYU's video team is looking for student filmmakers and production crew members to help create content for BYU’s social media channels and for broadcast. We produce commercials, short documentary projects, inspirational messages, and other projects to promote BYU (see youtube.com/byu). This is a great hands-on opportunity to learn video production, to work with professional cinema cameras and editing facilities, and to build a production reel. Creativity, conceptual thinking, and collaboration are all encouraged within our team. Many of our former students are working in the film industry as video editors, directors, and visual effects artists.  

TMA, communications, advertising, and related majors preferred. Must be a full-time BYU student. Multiple semester commitment preferred. Pay is competitive. Hours are flexible. Please send a resume and examples of your work to Julie_walker@byu.edu  Now hiring the following positions:     

VIDEO EDITOR

 Preferred 2+ years of video experience editing with Adobe PremiereExperience with color correction, post-production audio and motion design/After Effects a plus. Videography and production experience a plus (most team members work on both production and post-production). Looking for storytellers who love to edit documentary projects.Please provide a resume and links your work to Julie_walker@byu.edu

VIDEOGRAPHER

Preferred 2+ years experience as a videographer and experience with professional cinema cameras. Experience with lighting and grip/electrical equipment preferred. Drone experience and certifications a plus.Must submit samples of your work in order to be considered. Please provide a resume and links to your work to julie_walker@byu.edu  

ASSISTANT VIDEO EDITOR/PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

Preferred one year experience editing with Adobe Premiere and an interest in documentary production.Looking for a detail-oriented student who wants to develop video production and editing skills.Please provide a resume and links to your work (if available) to Julie_walker@byu.edu

AUDIO PRODUCTION AND POST-PRODUCTION SPECIALIST

 10-20 hours/week Preferred one year experience mixing audio with Adobe Premiere/Audition, or other professional editing program, and completion of audio post-production class. Preferred experience on a film set and familiarity with audio production equipment.  This job is well suited to Commercial Music or TMA majors. Pay competitive, depending upon experience. Please provide a resume and production samples to adam_sanders@byu.edu
