Director and Videographer Wanted for Book Trailer
My name is Kayla, and I'm a student in BYU's advertising program. My team and I are creating a book trailer for a romance novel and are looking for someone to direct and/or film the trailer. We hope to film over a few days in late July, and we will be filming at several different locations between Provo and Salt Lake City. This would be an opportunity to build connections with BYU AdLab students, to direct a project with a team already assembled, and to add to your portfolio.

Film Internship at Rep. Blake Moore's District Office
Congressman Blake Moore's District Office is seeking a summer 2023 film intern. In partnership with the Library of Congress, Representative Moore is working to collect and preserve the stories of America’s veterans in video interviews through the Veterans History Project (VHP) so that future generations of scholars and citizens can learn the stories and sacrifices of their nation’s soldiers. As a film intern, you will be primarily concerned with helping accomplish this mission. You will be tasked with running the camera, microphones, and lighting so that the interviewer and interviewee can focus on a good interview. You will then edit the interview and prepare it to be turned over to the archives at the Library of Congress. We are the Austin Film Festival. Currently in our 30th year, we are best known for our annual Film Festival and Writers Conference held each October in Austin, Texas. Now in its 11th year, Southern Exposure provides a positive and challenging learning experience to exceptional film students and emerging filmmakers from across the country seeking to explore and develop their talent as environmental advocates through nonfiction storytelling. This innovative summer fellowship equips students with the skills, equipment, content knowledge and contacts to create authentic, engaging, inspiring films intended to raise public awareness about important issues facing Alabama’s environment -- from the mountains to the coast. The selected fellows will use their skills and talents to serve local communities and the environmental organizations that support them.

Documenting Research and Dance in Costa Rica
Looking for an experienced female film student to accompany BYU Dance Education Students to Costa Rica June 3-16th, 2023 to document a research project. The film student will be responsible for filming interviews, dance teaching experiences, as well as creating a screendance (artistically filming and editing a dance), which will be filmed on location with a Costa Rican dance group. The cost of the trip will be covered for the film student and a stipend given for editing the footage.
