New York BFA Showcase

May 01, 0016 12:00 AM
19 recently graduated MDT and BFA Acting students, along with Tim Threlfall, Gayle Lockwood, Mark Johnson, and Lindsi Neilson, traveled to New York to perform their BFA Showcase for over 100 agents and casting directors. They performed three different times over two days. Almost every student who performed received calls to meet with agents, and several of the students secured auditions for current Broadway and off-Broadway shows (including Elf: The Musical, The Book of Mormon Musical, and Hamilton). In between performances, meetings with agents, and auditions, they managed to fit in the time to see shows such as Something's Rotten, Tuck Everlasting, The Waitress, Woodsman, The Crucible, and Matilda. Several students also visited the 9/11 memorial and ground zero, the American Museum of Natural History, and the Hayden Planetarium. Good luck to all the recents grads who are moving on to careers of their choice!
