Performing Arts Management is the managing agency for BYU's top performing groups. Representing 18 performing group from the Department of Dance and School of Music, our touring program typically reaches 140 cities in 20 countries annually. With more than 400 performances each year, these professional-level ensembles delight and uplift hundreds of thousands worldwide.
Summary: The Media Specialist is an adept photographer and videographer responsible for visually narrating the mission, values, and the stories of students. Report to the Marketing Manager and work closely with marketing team, artist managers and assistants, to produce high-quality, compelling video, photo, and print content to be used in advertising for shows, document the experiences of students on tour, and assist the performing arts groups in all media needs. Strong photography and videography experience are required. Internship credit available.
Pay: $16.00/hr
Qualifications:
Personally owned professional equipment required.
Advanced Videographer and Photographer: Work with Marketing Manager to conceptualize, plan, shoot, and edit engaging photo and video content of performers to create content that aligns with the mission of PAM. Editing Proficiency: Edit and enhance raw footage and photos in professional programs (Adobe Premiere Pro, Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve, etc.) to produce polished materials.
Collaborative: Work with Marketing Manager, marketing team, Artist Managers, and assistants to plan and execute images and videos to be used in conjunction with marketing, social media, and sales. Be willing to incorporate and adapt to feedback.
Visual Storytelling: Capture and effectively communicate the stories, impact, and experiences of performers.
Maintain a high rate of image and video production while maintaining high-quality standards. Work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Available to attend scheduled rehearsals, performances, and events outside of normal office hours.
Available to travel domestically and internationally as needed for tours.
