OIT Student Media Designer

Do you have a keen eye for video design and professional communications? We are hiring a Student Media Designer.

In this position you will focus on developing and editing video and media communications with opportunities to create web, print, and email as well. You will be contributing to projects that support the objectives of BYU OIT while building a portfolio that taps into the important areas of technology. You will be able to work up to 20 hours per week with flexible hours. We welcome all student candidates with design or communication experience or education.

Job Responsibilities
As a Media Designer, you will create a broad range of media including videos, training modules, digital campaigns, social media content, presentations, and website content. A key aspect of this work is to translate technical or conceptual ideas into simple, effective, and motivating messages for non-technical audiences. You may be expected to perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
Media Designers must combine creative skills and technical knowledge. A sample of your work or a link to your portfolio is requested as part of the application process.

Requested Skills:
* 2+ years of audio/video editing experience with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop required.
* 1+ years of 3D work in Blender, Maya, or other 3D software experience required.
* Post Production work including: editing, color grading, VFX, etc.
* Live video production, shooting, lighting, and audio experience preferred
* Have an artistic vision, strong graphic design acumen, and precise attention to detail and be able to produce work quickly to meet deadlines

Pay Rate: $16.00+ DOE
