Kingwood High School (6A) outside Houston, TX is hiring a High School Technical Theatre Director for the 2026-2027 school year! I was a BYU Theatre Education graduate in 2011, and I moved to Texas and was blown away by the giant theatre programs and significantly higher pay! We have 3 Theatre Teachers at Kingwood High, with over 250 theatre students. The Tech Director teaches beginning, intermediate, and advanced-level technical theatre classes, oversees the technical direction of our 3 mainstage productions, our competition UIL One-Act play (the largest one-act play competition in the country!), and some small class plays.
