PAID Hart Theater Company presents AUDITIONS for a staged reading of Possessive! The Musical!
A new musical comedy by Spencer Ford about demonic possession (I know, another one of those…). It follows a family in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania in the year 2000 (with an original pop punk score to match) as they learn about family, love, and togetherness thanks to a demon inhabiting their son’s body.
Performances will be held at Edison Street Events on January 26th-28th. We will also be producing a cast album. A studio recording session will be scheduled after casting is finalized. This is a great opportunity to have professional audio recordings that you can add to your reel.

Please prepare:-16 bars (45~60 seconds) of a contemporary song (musical theatre or rock). You may bring a minus track. An accompanist will also be provided. Please let us know your conflicts from 6-10pm on weekdays and all day on Saturdays and Sundays. Rehearsals will be curated accordingly and posted before the first day of rehearsals. (Alto, B3 - G4)LISA, female, 17, emo and into the occult. MINION’s love interest. (Soprano, B3 - E5)MINION, male, 2,000 (though played by a young man), is an incorporeal being (cannot touch anything, like a ghost). LISA’s love interest. (Tenor, C2 - A4)
We are looking for one actor to play all three of these roles:DEMON, 10,000 (though played by an actor of any age), spends the majority of the show possessing DARIAN’s body, speaks in older, archaic english. (Bass, A2 - E4)PRIEST, male, any age, a Catholic Priest. (Raps, but no singing)PARANORMALIST, any age, presents like a handyperson/ghostbuster, Chicago accent. (No singing)
