Please prepare a 60-90-second-long monologue that uses heightened or poetic speech (like from the plays of Sarah Ruhl, Nicky Silver, Samuel Beckett, Tennessee Williams, Oscar Wilde, G.B. Shaw, Aphra Behn, Shakespeare). If you would prefer, you may also read aloud given selections from the script. The goal of the preliminary audition is to give the director a sense of your ability to have fun as you play with language and word coloring.
