SingingWithChelsea Vocal Studio is looking for a creative and reliable part-time videographer and video editor to help produce professional content centered around singing, vocal education, and live performances.
About the Position
The position will average approximately 20 hours per week, split between in-person filming at our studio in Murray, UT and editing/post-production (can be remote).
Our goal is to create an efficient weekly production schedule where we batch film content and then use the remaining hours for editing.
A typical week may include:
Approx. 4-hour weekly content filming session
Approx. 4-hour digital course filming session
12 hours of editing and post-production
Occasional filming of group classes, masterclasses, performances, and special events
Editing hours can largely be completed remotely.
Content will include:
Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts & long form content, Vocal technique and educational videos,
Digital vocal training programs, Group vocal classes, Masterclasses and workshops, live performances and studio sessions, Promotional and behind-the-scenes content
Beginning in January, the role will also include filming a weekly two-hour group vocal class and turning that footage into both long-form educational videos and short-form content.
There will also be opportunities to film and help us develop multi-camera recording and livestream capabilities as our programming grows.
Responsibilities
Film weekly educational, social, course, and performance content
Set up and operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment
Capture high-quality speaking and singing audio
Edit both short-form and long-form videos
Create captions, text overlays, titles, and basic graphics
Perform basic audio cleanup and color correction
Organize raw footage, current projects, and finished content
Maintain clean master files and backups
Help create a consistent and efficient filming/editing workflow
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
Has experience with video editing and basic videography/photography
Has a good eye for lighting, composition, pacing, and storytelling
Understands short-form social video content needs.
Is interested in learning or already has experience filming music and live performance
Is comfortable working with cameras, lighting, and audio
Is organized and dependable
Can work independently and meet deadlines
Takes direction well while also bringing creative ideas to the table
Enjoys working in a creative, collaborative environment
You do not need to be a singer or musician, although an interest in music, live performance, education, or artist content would be a great fit for the role.
Because this is a vocal business, audio quality is especially important.

Chelsea works with singers across musical theatre, pop, country, rock, singer-songwriter, recording, touring, and other contemporary styles worldwide.
Lift Your Voice is an expanding vocal-training platform that includes digital vocal workouts, educational programs, group training, masterclasses, and artist-development resources.
As the business grows, we're building a larger library of professional educational and performance content—and we're looking for someone who would be excited to grow with us on the production side.
Schedule & Pay
Approximately 20 hours/week
$25/hour
Regular filming takes place in person at the SingingWithChelsea studio in the Salt Lake City area. Editing and post-production can generally be completed remotely and scheduled around classes when possible.
Some evening or weekend availability will occasionally be needed for performances, masterclasses, and special events. (Not sundays)
