Cameron was born and raised in Oklahoma. Since his childhood, he was in front or behind the camera. Cameron completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Media Arts at Brigham Young University. There, he wrote and directed his award winning capstone film, Hey Brooklyn. He loves to craft, analyze, and discuss all genres of cinema. He continued his film education and filmmaking career at the University of Southern California. He received his MFA in Film and Television Production from the School of Cinematic Arts at USC. After graduation from USC, he has worked professionally in the film industry.

Professor Babcock has wrapped up on a PBS docuseries called 21 where he worked as an editor. He edited more than 12 episodes, and has been nominated for three Television New York Emmy Awards. The talented crew from 21 won an Emmy for the series at the 67th Annual New York Emmy Awards. He’s currently producing a feature sports film called Rawlins, with one of his colleagues during his time in the BYU Media Arts program. He’s directing a short documentary called Ready, Set, Kick that is about a female kicker who’s returning to her Varsity football team from injury. Also, he’s co-directing and co-producing a feature documentary, Chasing Plastic: Team Korea Great Grand Masters, about Team Korea striving to win their first ever game at the World Flying Disc Federation’s World Masters Ultimate Championship.

He’s in development for a comedic, episodic series called Critter Ridder, an inside look at Atlanta’s newest pest control company where he’s the head writer and producer. He produced a short scripted film that has received film distribution from USC called A Real Documentary. He has been a production assistant on several film and commercial sets, one of them being the hit television show Yellowstone. While a student at BYU, he worked with BYUTV as an assistant UPM, working on shows like Studio C and BYU Devotionals. He has directed many short, scripted films that have been screened at several film festivals. His MFA thesis short documentary, titled I’m the Vet, had a successful, award winning film festival circuit and has received distribution on a few streamers like Filmzie, Sunn Stream, Tonbo TV, and STASH-YouTube.
