Hey! I’m casting for a Blow Pop spec ad and looking for some fun, character-driven people to be a part of it!
Dates/Filming time is looking to be November 7th for an all-day shoot. Around 8-10 hours of filming.
PREMISE: A girl stuck at an awkward family wedding table blows a Blow Pop bubble to float away from the unwanted conversation. Considering options to make the lift happen practically.
VIBE: Dry, awkward, absurd humor played completely straight. Not slapstick or overacted; the comedy comes from weird characters, uncomfortable conversations, subtle reactions, and awkward pauses.
CHARACTERS WE'RE LOOKING FOR!
Girl: Quiet, deadpan, visibly over it. Says very little, so facial expressions are key.
Grandma: Sweet but extremely overbearing. No boundaries.
Aunt: Tipsy, loud, overly open, and thinks she’s the cool aunt.
Uncle: Weird, socially unaware, and unintentionally funny. In his own world.
Grandpa: Half asleep, mumbling and constantly misunderstanding what’s happening. Sleeping.
Ben: The awkward single family friend Auntie is trying to set the girl up with.
