Profile
Jerry Stayner graduated from Brigham Young University with a BA in Telecommunications. After graduation he worked as Post Production Supervisor for Mountainland Productions at Osmond Studios in Orem, UT where he designed and operated the on-line edit suite. After two years working as post production supervisor, Jerry began employment at the LDS Motion Picture Studio in Provo, UT as an editor and director. He has been an adjunct professor with the media arts department at Brigham Young University for the past 16 years. His credits in the film industry include Film Editor for the theatrical release of “Little Secrets” for Columbia Tri-star/Sony pictures and “The Witching of Ben Wagner” for the Disney Channel. He has also edited for television movies for a variety of networks, including “Miracles and Other Wonders” hosted by Darin McGavin. He continues to freelance for sports networks including ESPN, ABC, NBC, and Fox Sports and worked the 1996 Summer Olympic games. Jerry currently teaches Narrative Editing, and Avid MC101 and Avid MC110.
