Profile: Shawnda Moss received her undergraduate degree in Theatre Education and graduate degree in Theatre for Young Audiences from BYU. She is working on an MFA in Directing from the University of Idaho. Currently Shawnda works in the Theatre Education Program teaching pedagogy and methods courses, Intermediate Directing, Theatre Production, and she serves as a University Supervisor to theatre student teachers.
Other Theatre Education work she takes part in: She teaches a summer intensive course for pre-service and veteran teachers seeking professional development and endorsements. She works as the manager of the BYU Theatre Education Curriculum Database. She works with local public schools and theatre teachers in teaching theatre curriculum. She often teaches workshops at national theatre education conferences. She has served as the Conference Administrator for the Utah Theatre Association.
Additional related work: She has served as an Associate Director for the Hill Cumorah Pageant; taught acting workshops for the Hale Center Theater in Orem; taught at the BYU Education Week; taught as adjunct faculty for the University of Utah and Westminster theatre programs; run high school theatre programs at Bingham and Riverton High Schools in Salt Lake County, and taught theatre classes at Maple Mountain High School in Utah County.
She directs and acts on local stages as much as her family life will permit. She is married to Bradley Moss, another theatre instructor, and plays mom to three adorable, brilliant, wonderful children.
