It must emotionally connect visitors to the site, contextualize its immense geographical scale, and convey the airfield's critical role in global history. The film will need to incorporate historic film clips as well as collecting and presenting current site footage.

The final film will be displayed on an 80-inch Ultra High Definition (UHD/4K) screen within the museum's orientation theater.

The museum does have funding to pay for the project and is happy to work with students should the project help with media major requirements. Callister authored the popular book "The Infinite Atonement." He also wrote "A Case For The Book of Mormon." When he was a Mission President he asked his missionaries to present the Book of Mormon with the kind of emotional strength that comes through in a great movie trailer. He had been the Sunday School General President and had asked Kirk Magelby, head of the Discover The Book of Mormon Foundation, to ask filmmakers to create a dynamic movie trailer.

While there are many definitions of the term "High Concept Film" it generally suggests a film for which the preview can trigger something powerful inside the viewer giving them compelling reasons to want to see the film now!

Much good can come from filmmakers creating great movie trailers about The Book of Mormon. The contest is free to enter. A generous donor to the foundation has posted $25K in prize money to incentivize filmmakers and film students to create dynamic movie trailers.

Anyone is invited to enter the competition. There is no entry fee, we encourage all BYU Media Arts filmmakers to take advantage of this opportunity. The First Prize winner will receive $10,000. Three more runner ups will be awarded $5,000 each. Submission dates are April 6 - July 31. The trailer length should be between 30 seconds and 2 minutes and 58 seconds.
