Dear Students,

For Christmas this year, we gifted mini Christus statues to each of you with a note inviting you to find a place for Jesus in your home.  We hoped that where ever you set him would be a daily reminder that He is our Savior, our Redeemer, and in very real ways, our friend.  Because not every student came to pick their statue up, last week in our All-Forum, we made sure everyone had received their own and mentioned an upcoming challenge we would be having for Valentine's Day.

Since today is Valentine's Day, a holiday that helps us reflect on the love of our Savior, I want to see how your statue has helped you! Please send me a photo ( and a short summary of where you have put your statue, and how it has reminded you of Christ. I can't wait to read how this statue has touched your life, and can't wait to share those with other students, staff, and faculty.

Chair, Department of Theatre & Media Arts

This week at 11am, on Thursday, February 16th, in room 1040 in the WCCB, we'll have a special combined forum for both Theatre and Media Arts Students with guest, Gordon Lonsdale.

Gordon Lonsdale is a recently retired Hollywood Director of Photography (DP) and active member of the Church. He was the DP for television series such as NCIS-NEW ORLEANS, BONES, NORTHERN EXPOSURE as well as the HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL films and well-loved LDS favorites as THE BEST TWO YEARS. Don't miss out on this opportunity and bring everyone you know!

There won't be a forum or devotional next week due to Monday schedule on Tuesday, so don't come watch a non-existent forum!
Next (Next) Forum:
Angela L. Duckworth, an American academic, psychologist and author, will deliver the Forum address on February 28th, 2023 at 11 AM in 1040 WCCB. You bring your lunch, we'll provide treats!

Due to Monday, February 21st being President's Day, the following Tuesday (February 22nd) will be Monday instruction and the rest of the week will follow as normal.

Opportunity to be in the lovely UK for Summer!

The role will entail assisting the Artistic Directors working with a cast and choir of about 500 people, to tell the sacred stories of the early British Saints. You will be invited to help with the myriad number of opportunities a production of this scale entails. The learning will be especially connected to how to direct a large-scale performance in a manner that invites deep co-creativity from the cast, and how striving for excellence in our artistic expression can become a form of performative faith practice.

Please complete the application form by end of Wednesday 22nd Feb to apply! Any questions? Contact Alexandra Mackenzie Johns on: WCO 131
