Musun Gayik

Graduated 1992, PhD in Theatre and Film

After completing his degree, Musun went back to Kinshasa to teach at the National Institute of Arts. Around January 1993, he was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor. Unfortunately, he was forced to flee from the country in July 1993 because of turmoil and political unrest. He went back to school: earning a Master's degree in Comparative Literature from BYU in 1996. He also taught at Eastern Illinois University, 1997-98. He currently promotes theatrical projects through the Center for Research in Applied Theatre. He is also applying for teaching positions in the academy.
