Media Arts Program - Bachelor of Arts Degree

Thank you for considering the Media Arts Major / Minor!  The application process is an indication of the program itself; it requires time (equivalent to a one-credit class on a block), critical analysis, production of a creative sample and outstanding performance in Theatre and Media Arts (TMA) courses.

Due to department resources, a limited number of students are accepted into the Media Arts program each year.  Matching of program expectations and objectives with the student's interests, abilities, and potential is critical for creating a well-grounded educational experience.  Applications will be weighed by:

  • The student's abilities, interests, expectations, and preparation against the Media Arts Program criteria / qualifications (refer to the Media Arts Application);
  • The student's ability to meet the pre-application and application deadlines; follow procedures / guidelines as outlined; and quality and thoroughness of te completed application; and
  • The student's performance in prerequisite courses (TMA 102 and TMA 112)
