How do I apply to be a Theatre major or minor?

Declaration

Theatre Arts Studies degrees (major and minor) are open enrollment programs for any student who wishes to declare the degree. In order to track your progress through the program and to provide appropriate mentorship, students who wish to declare the major need to complete some pre-core classes, meet with a faculty advisor, and fill out the declaration form. There is no deadline for this declaration, but students must be declared majors before they can take most 200-level and above theatre classes.

Music Dance Theatre, BFA (application details)
Theatre Education, BA (application details)
Acting, BFA (application details)

Each of these programs requires special requirements for acceptance. Music Dance Theatre and Theatre Education have different applications that must be completed. Entrance into the Acting BFA program follows successful completion of two proficiency auditions after declaration of the Theatre Arts Studies Major. You will be notified by letter if you have been accepted into a limited-enrollment program.
